What we do

Through our arts programme in Palestine, we aim to support the preservation of Palestinian cultural heritage and identity. We do so by supporting the capacity of the arts and cultural sector and artistic community, promoting cultural exchange and artistic expression through connections and collaborations with the UK, and showcasing Palestinian voices on regional and international platforms, broadening audiences, creating opportunities and enhancing young people’s lives.

Writing for Theatre

A two year training programme for young Palestinian playwrights organised by the British Council in partnership with the Royal Court Theatre in London and the A.M Qattan Foundation.

Selector Radio

The Selector is the British Council's weekly international radio showcase for the best new music from the UK.

Cultural Protection Fund

Established in 2016 and led by the British Council in partnership with the UK’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport – safeguarded cultural heritage at risk in Palestine and contributed to sustainable social stability and economic prosperity through local decision-making and leadership.
