In this innovative project, Hakaya Group artists and storytellers explored Palestinian archaeological sites to draw inspiration from both tangible and intangible heritage. Through Uttering Tales and Watering Plants, storytelling became closely tied to land and memory, from workshops in Ramallah to storytelling evenings in villages across Jenin.

Plants were woven into the performances as part of Palestinian heritage. Children not only listened to stories, but also planted, watered, and took home seedlings, allowing the stories and their connection to the land to continue growing beyond the performances themselves.

Through this project, we remember the late Hamza Al-Aqrabawi, storyteller and researcher of Palestinian heritage, who passed away in December 2025 after a remarkable journey of creativity.
