After months of storytelling between children and adults, the Storytelling Marathon, organised by Seraj Libraries and Dar Al-Hikayat, reached its final stage: bringing traditional tales back to public spaces in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
The journey began with listening to grandparents’ stories, training teachers in storytelling, and then empowering students to share their own tales.
Across this journey:
- 50 teachers and 350 young storytellers took part
- Activities were held in 50 locations
- Over 277,000 people listened to their stories
It’s been a heartwarming experience that reconnected communities with Palestinian folk heritage and united generations through the power of live storytelling.
