This month two British Council trainers from Palestine and the UK are leading a programme for English language teacher training for the Ministry of Education and UNRWA - Gaza and West Bank. During the first 11 days, the programme will prepare 75 teacher trainers to conduct training for teachers of grades seven to ten.
The Certificate in Secondary English Language Teaching is an in-depth course aimed at improving the classroom skills and knowledge of teachers of twelve to eighteen year olds.
The British Council will visit partners conducting regional training and then plans to work with UNRWA and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to deliver the second phase of this course in 2016, once the current phase of teacher training is complete.
